Pumpkin Carving

Well, Anniston and Dadoo carved their first pumpkin together this evening. Anniston was so excited...although she didn't really know what to expect.

She was very clean about digging out the "guts" with a spoon, until she realized that we were going to let her get messy with her hands--then she was all over digging in!
Here's the pumpkin and the two proud carvers!
We put a candle in it and took it outside to show off...spooky, huh?

Pumpkin Patch

After church and lunch, we loaded up and headed to the pumpkin patch. We discovered that they moved this year from Lowell to Pea Ridge! So we switched up our game plan and headed to the Methodist Church in Bentonville. Their youth group has a "pumpkin patch" on their church lawn. Anniston didn't know any better, and Treyson sure didn't!

Here's some pictures from our outing:

Anniston is going through a phase where all of her smiles are very fake unless she'll giggle. But when we tell her to giggle, she looks away from the camera!

We actually caught a little bit of Treyson and Anniston smiling at the same time!

Mommy's turn:

Now Dadoo!

Anniston found baby pumpkins for her and Treyson...now we're trying to find a big pumpkin to carve later this week:
Anniston was so proud of her two baby pumpkins...and maybe a little bit silly!!

Have a great week!

Great "Nothing" Day

There's nothing too exciting to post; just everyday stuff going on for us. That can be a good thing though, right?
It was a very rainy day here. Pretty dark and cloudy, became fairly cool, and misted most of the day. What better thing to do than sleep, right Treyson? And he did...took great naps all day.
So I ventured out with my sleepy head. There were some great sales going on at a couple of places that I enjoy shopping at, and I brought Anniston home a new headband and her Christmas church dress. She was so excited and wanted to immediately put the Christmas dress on...we compromised and put one of her summer "princess dresses" on. That was sufficient. But then she also wanted to put the headband on....on top of her pigtails with bows already in. And she also wanted to keep her Uggs on....definitely princess shoes, huh? Now that I've set this up, here's a peek at our princess today:Treyson was in a great mood tonight (I guess I would too if I slept all day on a rainy day). He just hung out in Dadoo's arms pretty much the entire evening. Anniston hopped up onto Dadoo's lap to love as well. She has an obsession with holding Treyson's hand....all the time. So this allowed her to snuggle Dadoo and hold Treyson's hand all at once. Mommy went into Anniston's closet while she was loving on Dadoo and found something that MaMa had given us. It was a very nice pea coat and hat that Mommy wore when she was a little girl. I was hoping Anniston would be just the right size this winter...and she is! She was so excited to wear something that Mommy wore too. I could hardly get her to stay still long enough to take a picture. She thought that she was very big in this:

We just love days and nights with "nothing" going on!!

BUSY WEEKEND!

This was definitely a busy weekend for us, plus it was our first weekend to do any traveling with Treyson. We even added to our already busy schedule! We decided to head out to Farmington on Friday night to watch Uncle Mike's Cardinals play football (and they kicked tail!!). Of course it was more than that too. We also had to work on our colors with Aunt Robin (via M&M's) and quality control of the concession stand (frito chili pie, popcorn, hot dog, and drinks). It all passed the test, thank goodness! haha

Saturday morning was gymnastics. Since Treyson slept in, Dadoo got to take Anniston for the second week in a row (Mommy and Dadoo usually rotate because they both love to do it). It was trampoline day, Anniston's favorite! After that, we headed to the fall festival at church for food and fun. 3 bounce arounds, bikes, hula hoops...so much fun!
After the fall festival, we cheered for the Hogs as they beat Auburn...finally, an SEC win!!! We were so excited! As soon as the game was over we headed out to Mrs. Amber's for the annual bonfire and Hayride. Anniston was so excited to see Mrs. Amber. This is our fabulous babysitter that kept Anniston from 5 months until 2 years, and will be keeping Treyson when Mommy goes back to work.
Sunday morning started off with church, and then we drove down to Fort Smith for cousin Michael's 3rd Batman Birthday party. He had an amazing bounce around to play in. Uncle Todd cooked burgers on the grill...yummy! Then we watched Michael open his wagon-full of presents and ate cake and ice cream. We also got to introduce Great Grandma to Treyson. She was so happy to meet him, and we are all so happy now that we KNOW our last name will extend another generation!
Treyson pretty much hung out in our arms all weekend (minus all of the time spent in the carseat as we hopped from event to event!). Such a good baby! He and Anniston had a new first on Sunday...bath time! Anniston thought it was so great to have him in there with her. She handed him toys while Mommy and Dadoo cleaned him up.
I'm exhausted just writing about this...I think we all need to sleep now!

Picture Day!

Today is picture day at Anniston's school. She was so excited this morning. I fixed her hair with the hair dryer, and she helped put gel in her hair! (It doesn't take much for her to think she's "so big") I didn't take her to school until after breakfast...biscuits and gravy was on the menu. Seriously! Who serves biscuits and gravy to 2 year olds on picture day? So she got the very raw end of the deal eating Cheerios at home, but she didn't think so because she got to eat them sitting on our bed while I fed Treyson! Here she is all dressed up:
Here she is with Treyson this morning right before we were loading him into the carseat. He wasn't up for smiling....he's deciding to show his more serious side today!Have a great day! We've got a big weekend planned involving gymnastics, fall festival at church, Hayride at Mrs. Amber's, watching Arkansas play football, and cousin Michael's 3rd birthday party...stay tuned!

GO HOGS!

We took Treyson to his first Razorback football game on Saturday (versus Florida--ouch!). He did so great! Was alert and happy through halftime, then slept in the carrier that Dadoo wore during the second half. What a trooper!

Anniston is a great Hog fan: called the Hogs, sang the fight song, shook her pompom, and wore Arkansas beads (thanks Aunt Tracey!!). She sits so well and watches the game...her Dadoo has groomed her well! Here's a picture with "Sue E.", cousin Kinley, and Kinley's cousin Gaby.
