Slip N Slide Fun!

This heat has been incredible so far!  We broke out the slip n slide (and marked another item off of our summer bucket list), and the kids had a blast!

You know he's focused when the tongue comes out the side of his mouth.....he gets that from Dadoo!

 This face cracks me up!

 PURE HAPPINESS!
We've been having a blast this summer!  Love having these kids at home :)  Makes me want to have EVERY summer off! (But, I'm not willing to have a baby every April to make that happen, so I'll have to make the most of this one! HA!)

6 weeks old!

Dadoo took the big kids to the lake this weekend, so Brecken and I have had some great 1 on 1 time together.  I seriously think I might rub this little girls cheeks out with my kisses....I can't get enough.  She is such a sweet baby, and is starting to dish out the smiles!

Brecken Lynn, Mommy loves you so much!  You are such an angel baby.  I love all of the time we are getting to spend together, and I'm not ready to even think about going back to work :(

You truly are a blessing to our entire family, and I cannot imagine my life without you in it, baby girl.  I love you so much!  Love, Mommy

Kindergarten Graduation

Anniston's elementary school had their kindergarten graduation at the High School 2 weeks ago.  They put on a precious program, and each child got their kindergarten graduation certificate.

The songs were so cute, and this one really had her dancing!

After graduation, Treyson greeted her with a hug and a surprise bouquet of flowers behind his back--what a sweet boy!

MaMa drove up the night before so she could be there to see the kindergarten graduate!
Our family of 5!

Dadoo and his princess
My sweet baby girl!  I cannot believe she is now in first grade--that just seems to bizarre to me.  I am so proud of the sweet girl she is.  She is so smart, and is excited to get to first grade to learn even more!  She decomposed up to the number 18, and learned 1,000 sight words.  She ended up being challenged to work on 1st grade "word phrases" and did 5 books with AR testing and scored 5/5 each time.
Anniston Leah,
We are so proud of the precious girl you are growing up to be.  You have such a kind and loving spirit to you.  You are such a sweet friend to those around you, and your smile is so contagious.  We love you sweet girl, and are so proud of you!
Love, Mommy and Dadoo

Playtri International Triathlon

Jerry participated in the Playtri International Triathlon in Irving, Texas last weekend.  We headed down to Dallas Friday night after dropping the kids off with my parents.  We hung out on Saturday, doing a little bit of eating and shopping.  We had a carb-loading dinner Saturday night, then the race was Sunday morning.  Jerry, Clint, and Elizabeth had to have their things into transition at 5 AM.  As much as I tried to stay asleep, I couldn't.  We had a room with a balcony, so I snuck outside and took some pictures of the sunrise over the lake--so pretty!
Here's a picture of 2 of the buoys.  Jerry had to swim out to the farthest buoy in this race.  His swim was 1500 meters, which equates to about 1 mile! YIKES!
Here's a pictures of the other buoy he had to swim out to, then after rounding it, he had to swim to an area way to the right of this picture.
Jerry and his wave getting into the water
He is ready!
....and he's off!
His #1 fan was thoroughly enjoying herself :)
Coming in from the swim
He was trying to smile at us as he swam in.....what a ham :)

I caught up with him as he was finishing his 2nd lap.  He biked 3- 7 mile loops (total of 21 miles)

Here he is in his transition area getting ready for the run....his least favorite part.  He had actually lost his water bottle before his last 7 mile bike loop....so he spent some extra time rehydrating.  Smart boy.

Sweet baby B!

He ran 2- 3.2 mile loops for a total of a 10K--6.4 miles.  Here he is coming in

Way to go Dadoo!

Getting his medal
Congratulating Clint!

Jerry, Liz, and Clint.....team CNC!  Way to go!

What a great job these 3 did!  We're thinking this might be a yearly triathlon.  Liz and I did it 2 years ago, and we really enjoyed the event.  It also helps that it's a fun city to spend the day before in :)  Next year, we want to bring more of our friends to participate in it.
