Touch A Truck

A few weeks ago, Jerry and Nanny took the kids to Touch A Truck. Mommy showed up later on. The kids LOVED seeing all of the different types of emergency vehicles, tractors, boats, semis, motorcycles.....well, I'll just let the pictures explain! Get ready--there are alot! Somehow, I don't see Anniston ever ending up in one of these for real!

Anniston looking in the ambulance!

This is the closest our kids will ever get to riding in a Cobalt! HA!

They could always drive trucks for JB Hunt!

The tractor scooped up a really cute girl!

Cousin Meredith is in the Junior League and was cooking hot dogs. Thanks for telling us about this Mer!

A special visit!

We had a special visit from Uncle Scott and Aunt Courtney today! They just moved back to Bartlesville from Houston a month ago. It's so nice having them be so close to us! They drove over to go to the scrimmage with us, and then we went to dinner and played for awhile. The kids were so excited to see them! Scott and Courtney told us awhile back that they were expecting twins, but we had to keep it secret for what seemed like FOREVER! Now, in 4 weeks we'll know what those two sweet babies are inside Aunt Courtney's belly! We are so anxious to get shopping :) Courtney has started a blog as well, so we will enjoy getting to watch those sweet peas kick her belly out!! Anniston played doctor with Aunt Courtney tonight and had twins herself. She pushed on her belly button so that the babies would come out! Thank you Scott and Courtney for spending the afternoon and evening with us! We know you'll sleep well tonight because of all of the skipping, playing, and football playing you all did!

Hooray for the Trampoline!

Dadoo put our trampoline back together this weekend, and the kids are LOVING it! Treyson's trying to "crack the egg" here: Treyson's working on his "tuck jump":

Thank you Dadoo for putting our tampoline back up for the spring!

I Can See Clearly Now....

Well, for my 30th birthday, Jerry decided to get me Lasik eye correction! I met with my eye doctor in December, and we tentatively had discussed doing it in February or March. I was a great candidate, but I started to get so nervous about the idea of them slicing into my eyes. In fact, I told Jerry one night, "My biggest fear is that I'll go blind and never see the kids again." His response? "Don't worry, you'll still hear them whine perfectly." Seriously? So much for fishing for sympathy! HA! ~ So, we traveled to Tulsa the night before my Lasik. We stayed in a super fancy hotel for super cheap (thank you Priceline.com.....my latest obsession!). We woke up early, had a yummy breakfast, and then headed over. I had a few more tests that they wanted to run, and then I had to wait. Finally, they called my name and I was taken into a low-lit room with a huge recliner and given a "happy pill". I hung out in there for about 45 minutes while the sweet nurse "Maw" kept putting numbing drops into my eyes. After they called me over, it took about 3 minutes from the time I walked into the room, until I was up and walking out. ~ If you have EVER considered Lasik....let me tell you--WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? It's the best decision I've ever made, and if Jerry's astigmatism isn't bad enough, I can guarantee he'll be doing it next year. After 24 hours, I was seeing 20/20 in one eye, and 20/25 in the other. One week out I am now 20/15 in both eyes!! Unbelievable! ~ So my sweet friend Liz sent me these flowers the day after my surgery. She is so precious to me! She also got me some fun things for our upcoming triathlon that we are so crazily signing up to do in June! ......but that's a whole 'nother blog post! I had to stay inside WITH shades on for 3 days following surgery. My sweet babies decided to be cool with me!!
Thank you Jerry for my birthday present! I LOVE waking up and being able to see!

(and thank you Nanny and MaMa for taking care of the kids for us!)
