Gymnastics!

Well, we started back to gymnastics for Anniston. For about 6 months Anniston did a tap, ballet, and tumble class. The tap and ballet just weren't fast paced enough for her. She did very well in them, followed directions well, and learned alot. But for now, it's not her thing. That's ok with me.

Anniston told me she'd rather just do gymnastics. So we had her going for a few weeks, and then we decided to start Treyson. When I woke the kids up this morning, the first thing Treyson said to me was, "Bubby do nastics?" (yes, he does talk in the third person) He was so excited! Anniston is in the 9:30 class, and then Treyson goes right after her at 10:15.

Here are pics of Anniston from today. She's getting really good at her cartwheel. Now Ms. Katie is working with her on her landing. Her left bobo keeps hitting the floor before her feet!Doing her bridge:Then it was T's turn. (I was by myself so Anniston sat to the side and did sticker books and read her "Fancy Nancy" books) At first they do a circle time and do a little warm up song. Treyson just smiled and watched everybody. I had to move his arms for him. Then he got warmed up and began to participate. He was very good about standing in line, and waiting his turn. A couple of times he started to run off, but it was after another little girl who was WILD! This class should definitely be good lessons on listening to directions even when other's don't!! (and her poor Momma is due in 6 weeks and had to chase her so very big and pregnant!)
At the end, the kids get to jump into a ball pit, and of course my kiddos walk to the "back side" and climb up onto these really tall blocks and jump off (we're probably talking 6 feet high). The other kiddos looked at my two daredevils like they were crazy.....the mom's probably did think I was crazy letting my children do that, but they had fun (and they were falling into FOAM BLOCKS people!!)
Here's T right before class! (couldn't sneak the camera in today. I thought I should really work with him on learning the rotation and following directions today--maybe next time!)

Wooooo Pig Sooie!

My little stinker....

It's a big deal at our house to make "Happy Plates". You cannot ask to be excused until a "happy plate" is accomplished. . .

. . . so this was Treyson this morning. He was being a SLOW eater, and felt like he was missing out on the action, so he sped up the "happy plate" process!!

Have a great day! We're celebrating the kids' birthdays today with a family party. I'll have pictures to post tomorrow!!

Great Lake Weekend!

We headed to Lake Ouachita last weekend to enjoy one of the last few times of boating for the summer. There were hardly any boats out, and we felt like we pretty much had the lake to ourselves!

The kiddos got ALOT of tubing time in due to the very low traffic on the water. Uncle Todd took Anniston and Michael out first. That was the only time he took both. I think it wore his upper body out trying to keep up with 2 kiddos! Typical routine....climbing up the ladder, piggies to the edge, READY, SET, GO!
.....Just like sissy!

Too cool for words!

Mommy and Treyson took the "sitting up" approach to tubing. Treyson seemed to enjoy it more this way...alot less bounce!

Thank you MaMa and PaPa for another GREAT weekend on the lake!

Our babies!

My parent's wanted to get a picture of all of their grandkids this weekend while we were at the lake. I snapped this pic of our kids while we waited on our cousins to get their Razorback shirts on. Just putting the kiddos in Razorback gear gives me such a warm and fuzzy feeling about football being less than 2 weeks away!! WOOOOOO PIG SOOOIE!!!

Pudding Clapping

Pudding + Clapping.....2 things that don't mix. Treyson tried to mix them tonight while eating his dessert. Mommy was outside working in the yard, so Dadoo handled this one. Treyson got a triple time out (3 minutes---not recommended by Super Nanny, but Dadoo felt that this naughtiness was not a 1 minute-worthy time out)

After his time-out, Treyson got a wet rag and had to scrub the pudding off the floor and wall (well, as high as he could reach...Mommy and Dadoo scrubbed the pudding that got too high). You can even see the brown spots on his shirt!

He was very good about scrubbing though. When he was finished, Mommy took the rag and started to get the high spot. It was so nice to have Treyson point and show me all of the brown spots on the wall that I needed to scrub.....HA, HA!

Silly Treyson

Jerry took Treyson to the potty on Monday night, and walked off afterwards telling him to pull up his own underwear and shorts. I watched Treyson as he tried so hard to get them up. It was so precious to see how proud he was of himself. . . he just left a little too much still hanging out!!
I still don't think he knew why we were laughing so hard and taking pictures of his cute little bo-bo!!

End of Year Party!

Anniston's party at school was last Thursday. She had such a great time. They set up games in the gym, and kids got to run wild for 2 hours!

Enjoying a sno-cone! Mmmmmm.....purple and red mixed sno-cone!
One of the 2 paintings she got!

Mrs. Tina painting her a "happy flower"

Anniston and her BFF, Baylor

Found a silly band in the treasure hunt game!

Anniston, we are so proud of everything you learned while you were a Bouncy Bunny. We can't believe that you're going to be a Pink Panther now! We love you so much, and know that you'll learn even more this year!
Love,
Mommy and Dadoo!

Water Park Fun!

Thursday night we took the kids to the Aquatic Center for a couple of hours. The water temperature was perfect, and the kids had an absolute blast! Anniston is still not tall enough to go down the slides there (you have to be 48 inches), so she was bummed for about 2 minutes over that. Anniston and Treyson are such water babies, so it is so much fun getting them into the water knowing they'll have a great time!

Here's Anniston trying to smile while standing under a waterfall! The kids love climbing up onto this log that floats in the water. And then they love to fall off!

Cheese Mommy!

Somebody had a 1 minute time-out for not walking. At first I gave him a warning for no running, so he started skipping everywhere!--smart kid.

I joked that they looked like the ducklings following the Daddy duck! They have so much fun with their Dadoo....he's basically like another kid....he totally reverts into a child-like state when he plays with them. I love to watch them all play together.

Happy Summer! Stay cool!!

Chuck E. Cheese!

Another tradition that we started with our kids is to take them to Chuck E. Cheese on their birthday. We get a picture of them on the little "Sketch Photo" booth, and it has the date on it.

We had family out to the Ft. Smith Chuck E. Cheese, and everybody had a great time! Here's Anniston's cookie cake:
Our big 4 year old (with apparently too small of panties on--see previous post--haha)!!
Anniston getting some birthday love from Chuck E.

On the bike:

PaPa with his 2 youngest grandkids, Connor and Treyson. Connor is 10 months younger than Treyson, although it's hard to tell in this picture. Connor is very tall!

Mmmmmmm.....3 little Cookie Monsters! Treyson, Anniston, and cousin Michael

Thank you MaMa, PaPa, Nanny, Paw Paw R, Uncle Matt, Emily, Uncle Todd, Aunt Melissa, Michael, and Connor for meeting up with us at Chuck E. Cheese. We had so much fun, and Anniston was so happy to celebrate with all of you!

Good Morning Birthday Girl!

My sweet baby girl is 4!! We were in Fort Smith the morning of her birthday. It is a family tradition that the birthday boy or girl gets pancakes in bed with a candle. We decided to save MaMa and PaPa a sheet changing on their bed and had the kids eat in the kitchen :)

Anniston was sleeping in my parents' bed, and as soon as she woke up she stood straight up in their bed, and told my Mom "MaMa I am taller now that I'm 4, and my panties don't fit anymore"--and apparently she was very serious when she said it. I just thought that was hilarious. She is so funny!
Opening her gift from Jerry and I.
It was an American Girl doll. She was SOOOOOO excited! She got Kit Kitteredge, a historical doll. She is very sweet with the doll, and is very protective of her when it comes to a wild, little brother!!

Getting Kit dressed in her "fancy hat".

Happy Birthday Anniston! We're so glad you love your American Girl doll, and Mommy can't wait to take you to the American Girl store in Chicago this fall. We are going to have so much fun eating brunch with Kit (and MaMa, MeMaMa, and Aunt Courtney), having a photo shoot with Kit, and shopping for matching clothes for you and Kit!!
