Go Cardinals!

Friday night, we took the kids to the Cardinals game. Jerry's Uncle Mike coaches the high school football team. It was their homecoming, and was a great Cardinal win!

We even got to see Aunt Robin, who made sure the kids were still keeping up with their color recognition. She tests them every time she sees them with a bag of M&M's (1 bag per kid--hey, practice makes perfect, right?!). We also saw Ryan and Meredith. Spencer is on the sidelines coaching this year and so was JD! What a treat!

The kiddos got to run on the REAL football field after the game....they thought that was amazing. Treyson has decided he wants to be a cardinal now. In fact, Saturday evening Treyson and I were talking as I was snuggling in bed with him. (yes, he asks me to snuggle every night, and yes I agree every night and will continue to do so until he's 18 if he lets me. In my defense, snuggling lasts about 2 minutes!) So I asked Treyson if he was going to dream about Mommy. Of course he said, "No." So I asked him what he was going to dream about. He told me that he was going to dream "about playing football. I am going to be a Cardimal (yes, he says "Cardimal" instead of "Cardinal") and play with Uncle Mike (notice he said "with" not "for"!HA!). I will wear a football helmet like the one in my closet, except it will be a Cardimal. And then I will wear a Cardimal jersey and REAL football pants. Mommy, you can come watch me play." This boy is ALL BOY! So funny.

Here are the kiddos in their Cardinal outfits I made for them Friday. So fun!

Nighty night

This is what I heard shortly after Jerry and Treyson went back to get jammies on....this definitely calms down our rowdy little monkey! HA!

Bath time singing!

Jerry played some tunes for Anniston while she bathed on Monday evening. She didn't see my flip video (it was hiding behind Dadoo's cell phone). Enjoy!

Watch Party Baking!

We're hosting a "watch party" for our supper club at our house on Saturday. We decided to bake a cake for dessert. The kids helped throw all of the ingredients into the bowl, and helped lick the beater and bowl once the cake was in the oven. We made a red velvet cake with creamy vanilla icing....can't wait to cut into this!Go Hogs! Beat Bama!

Baby in my tummy!

After Mommy returned from Oklahoma with pictures of Caleb and Calvin, the kiddos decided they had a baby in their tummy. They were upstairs playing, and then walked down looking like this!In fact, Treyson announced that Caleb and Calvin were in his belly, and that they were getting ready to "hatch"!
I bet you thought I was pregnant when you read the title of my blog...um, no!

Welcome Caleb Walter and Calvin James!

Thursday, September 15 we welcomed our twin nephews Caleb and Calvin! It was also Uncle Todd's birthday, and I know he's excited to share his special day. I headed over to Oklahoma early Thursday morning (sans the kids--they can go see the boys later....spending the day in a hospital is less than ideal for a 3 and 5 year old).

Scott came out shortly after 1 to tell us that the boys were here. This is what happened to the nursery window!
Proud Daddy!

Sweet little Calvin James. 5 lb, 6 oz. Born at 12:17 (two minutes younger than big brother Caleb!)

Calvin James....I could eat him up!

A sweet new family of 4! Scott is already such an amazing Daddy! It is such a beautiful thing to watch him with his boys and Courtney. Courtney had such a great pregnancy. There was never any concern with her health (some BP issues at the end), and she carried these boys while working full time up until the week before they were born (and she cut back to 1/2 days!). She is so dainty herself, so the fact that she had such big boys was so amazing! She is already such a great Mommy, and I can't wait to watch them grow together as parents!
Congratulations Scott, Courtney, Caleb, and Calvin! We love you!

New preschool

Anniston started a new preschool 2 weeks ago. We had a very poor experience at a place in our area (if you need childcare in Rogers, I can tell you where NOT to go!). We switched to a preschool that isn't very far from my office, and Anniston loves it! She is in class with her friend, Nila (I work with Nila's Mommy). Anniston says that she, Nila, and Gwyneth are best friends. That was after the 3rd day at this place, and she didn't talk much about any kids at the other place. We are SO HAPPY with our decision to move her.

Here's our little Pre-K girl with her brother on her first day at her new school!
In her new Pre-K class in the "reading area". This is where I find her most days. Anniston is going to be our bookworm. She loves to learn, she is so curious, and she would let us read for hours if we had enough saliva in our mouths to read out loud for that long!
Anniston, we love you so much. We are so glad that you LOVE your new Pre-K. Your happiness is all that matters to us, and we are always proud of you sweet girl!

Happy 3rd Birthday Treyson!!

We woke up at MaMa and PaPa's on Treyson's birthday morning. Apparently, Dadoo and Treyson decided to wake up calling the Hogs! How many are you Treyson?
"Happy Birthday to you!!"

Eating birthday pancakes!
Opening his big sleeping bag from Sissy!
Thomas the Train movies from Uncle Scott and Aunt Courtney

We then headed down to the lake. The cousins had fun playing on the rocks. It started to sprinkle, and cousin Michael was so sweet and held a large, flat rock over the birthday boy's head to keep him dry---and Treyson didn't move! HA!

Fishing with cousin Michael

PaPa, Uncle Todd, Aunt Mel, Dadoo, cousin Tay, cousin Michael, and Anniston went fishing over Labor Day weekend. Apparently, they were just about to give up and then they caught "THE BIG ONE"!!!
