New Fun Game!

So Anniston went to the Silver Belle clinic and learned a new "get to know people" game. She "taught" it to us, and now she wants to play every evening.....and we have played it 3 times I can think of! It is precious, and I love how the boys get into it as well!!
....it's amazing how watching Jerry play with our kids can make me love him even more. He is such a hands on, loving father. I am so lucky to call him my husband!

Happy 1/2 birthday Anniston!

This was Anniston Wednesday morning before we started singing to her!Look at the difference!! Somebody was VERY happy to have us singing "Happy 1/2 Birthday" to her!!
This 5 1/2 year old got dressed, brushing her hair and teeth, made her bed, then came downstairs asking to be measured....she just knew she was taller now that she is 5 1/2!!
Fast forward to dinner. The 1/2 Birthday girl requested pancakes with cinnamon on top!
Of course we sang to her again....
and she made a sweet 5 1/2 year old wish....
Then we made cupcakes. Anniston and Treyson sure enjoyed licking the extra batter out of the bowl!
White cupcakes....

....with pink icing!
It is so much fun to recognize the kids' 1/2 birthdays. We sing to them and have a fun baking project (either cookies/cake/cupcakes--kids' choice) in the evenings. Not too big of a deal, but something they absolutely LOVE!
Happy 1/2 Birthday Anniston! You are such a beautiful little girl--inside and out. We love you so much! Love, Mommy and Dadoo

Anniston lost a tooth!!

Anniston pulled out her own first tooth on Saturday, January 21, 2012. She had been working that tooth over for a few days. When I told her it was getting awfully close, it was like a challenge to her to make it happen!

I told her I thought she had less than 2 weeks. She asked me if it will hurt?, will it bleed?, etc. I answered honestly, and then she asked if she could try to pull it right then. She was nervous about swallowing it because her friend, Jack, had accidentally swallowed his first tooth and she was trying to avoid that.

She grabbed a square of toilet paper from the bathroom, and in less than 2 minutes that tooth was out!
Here she is posing with the "tooth fairy pillow" that her tooth slid into
Here it is!!
Anniston, we are so excited for you losing your first tooth. You are such a big girl now! We love you sweet pea! Love, Mommy and Dadoo

Drill Team Clinic

Anniston attended her first Drill Team little girl clinic. She went by herself, but quickly found some friends from church who were there as well!

They actually did a kick line!....but the blondie in blue was blocking Anniston, and by the time I slid over to grab a pic, they were done! :(

Can't get this turned right, but Anniston was so excited to get a pic of herself with "real" Silver Stars"!!

Go Fish!

Treyson got the game "Go Fish" for Christmas from MaMa and PaPa. We pulled it out yesterday, and had so much fun playing it before naptime. We enjoyed it so much that we thought Dadoo would want to play it too, so we played again last night after he got home from work. So much fun!
We love family game nights!

One Proud Mommy and Dadoo!

So, we got Anniston's first semester report card, and we are so proud of her! She is such a kind hearted, loving little girl. We've always known she listened and followed directions at home....it's nice to hear she does it at school too!Just a few things Ms. Rhonda wrote about her:
We love you Anniston! We are super proud of what a great student you are. You will be amazing at whatever you set your mind to. Love, Mommy and Dadoo

PS. If you are looking for a fantastic Pre-K program that is Christian based, email me and I'll tell you where she goes. We also had her attend an amazing preschool before her current one. She learned so much there through play and learning time. This new Pre-K has more structure academically, and seems to be a perfect transition for Anniston before Kindergarten. Love this place!!

Nanny and PawPaw R's Christmas card pics!

I just ran across these and realized I never posted them! How cute is this bunch of Razorback cheerleaders and football players?!?!

Will and Treyson are in the back, with Anniston and Kinley in the front. The boys are at such a great age where they're now playing together. Of course, the girls have been playing together very well for a few years now.

....and Will and Kinley are going to be big brother/big sister this summer when sweet baby Boke comes out to play in July! We can't wait for another niece/nephew!!

Roller Skating Fun!

All of these pics were taken with Dadoo's iPhone...I was so upset that I left our real camera at home to capture our first roller skating experience....BOO! However, I am so thankful for Dadoo's fancy phone! We were at a skating rink to celebrate the birthday of a super precious girl, Natalie. She is turning 8 years old!! Her Momma and I work together, and they have always been so sweet to include us in all of her kids' birthday parties.

Mommy and Treyson were WORN OUT from all of our skating!

Treyson with the "fast" skates on (the real ones)

When Treyson wore the "preschool" skates, this was how he "skated"! HA!
When he got tired, this was how he lapped the skating rink....rough life, eh?!

Why we LOVE Saturdays in the winter!

Saturday mornings in the winter and spring as so wonderful (especially for Mommy). This is what I usually wake up to! Dadoo busy cooking something for breakfast (pancakes, French toast, waffles, eggs, etc).....
and the kids snuggled watching cartoons. I LOVE this time of year!

2012 Cotton Bowl Arkansas vs. Kansas State

Jerry took Treyson to the 2012 Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. Treyson absolutely ADORES football (pee-wee, jr. high, high school, college, professional), so Jerry knew it would be a hit taking him!
They rode down to Dallas with my parents. They made 1 stop for dinner, then made it to the hotel....not too bad for a 3 year old, huh? Here's a pic of Treyson that my mom sent me this morning. She took a pic of him at breakfast with her iPhone, then started adding crazy stuff to him. I'm sure he thought this was hilarious!
Dadoo and Treyson decided to take a dip.....in the hot tub!

Looks like they even played some football!

On their way to the stadium!
Football players must be fully hydrated with Gatorade prior to a football game. Good work T!Jersey? check! Football pants? check! Helmet? check! Football? check! Shin guards? check! LOL!
....and now's he's added his baseball batting gloves to the mix!Going deep for a pass!Maybe he'll grow up and do TV for fun just like Dadoo!
Made it into their seats! Let's go Hogs!Post game show....Treyson made his big TV debut!! Dadoo has since confessed that some Dr. Pepper (Treyson's first time to have it) is what kept him going strong throughout the game!I see some sleepy eyes! This football player is WORN OUT! He's sporting his jersey over his jammies, and tucked into his carseat with his Razorback blanket (we don't mess around, people!)This is one tuckered out Razorback football player. Sweet dreams baby boy! Hope you enjoyed your first Razorback bowl game...there will be MANY MORE to come!!
