Happy Wedding

Colin and Marla got married in Texarkana last weekend. Dadoo was a groomsman, and looked so handsome in his tux. We all traveled there last Friday. Nanny and PawPaw were there to help babysit Anniston and Treyson during rehearsal dinner and then to help Mommy get them ready for the wedding since Dadoo had to be at the church early for pictures.

Here are some pics from rehearsal dinner and then hanging out by the pool Friday night (until the tune of 2:00 A.M. for us--that's right, I don't think that's happened in a LONG time, and won't again for a LONG time!!)
Me and my hot date!

Colin and Marla, it was a beautiful wedding. Marla, you looked gorgeous. Colin, of course you were handsome. Congratulations to you both! We're so excited for you two. Thanks for including us in your wedding day!

9 months old

I can't believe I'm typing this post. So sad, once again. Another month....my baby is slipping away!

So in the past month Treyson started walking. It was a short lived event for us. He started to walk at his babysitter's house. . . 4-5 steps. He did it for me once that night. Jerry was out of town (poor Dadoo). I cried that night--literally. So at that point I decided we weren't going to work on it at our house. I wasn't ready for my almost 9 month old to walk. I needed more time. I don't know if we'll have any more kids. Treyson might be my last, and I'm trying to hang on to every little stage that I can. I'm such a selfish mother! Treyson will do a couple steps here and there, but I'm not going to encourage it on a daily basis by any means. He has a walker that he can push all over creation, but when it comes to letting go, he's somewhat hesitant.

So, here are our 9 month stats:
22 lb, 10 oz (75 percentile)
Happy Happy Happy boy
Has 4 teeth now (2 lower centrals, 2 upper centrals)
Wears size 3 Pampers Cruisers
Eats stage 3 foods (anything)
Loves crackers (ritz and saltines)
Likes small bites of banana and Gerber graduate (you're welcome Todd) ravioli
Eats 6 ounces of formula 5 times per day
Takes 1.5-2 hour nap in AM, and 1-1.5 hour nap in afternoon
Still sleeping soundly from 7 ish to 7 ish
Loves bathtime with sissy
Is a little stinker to get a diaper on. He rolls over before you can strap it on.
Loves to giggle. His sister is still the best at getting him to do this.
Loves the lake; doesn't love the lifejacket. Thank goodness the rule with pontoons is that the lifejacket can be removed if all doors are shut! We love that rule!! Thank you MaMa and PaPa for getting a pontoon!! This is a picture of him playing on the pontoon:

Here's Treyson swimming with Anniston and Cousin Michael:

Loves to walk around holding onto your hands. And will actually walk quite well just holding one hand.

Wears size 4 shoes

Has his Dadoo's skin. He's already getting so tan. Poor sissy...I think she's got my skin!

His hair is curling in the back. It's dark blonde, and there's no way I'm cutting it anytime soon if the curls continue!

Say's "bye, bye" as he waves with 2 hands

Gives "high fives"

Says "dada" all the time. . . "mama" is not very current in our vocabulary (how is that possible? trust me, I DO work with him on that one!)

Is in a big boy carseat (still backwards, but he got too long for the carrier--and too heavy!!). He (and Mommy) are so excited to turn 1 year old for the sole reason of facing forwards!!

Treyson,

We love you so much, and we just praise God that you are in our lives. You are so sweet and cuddly, giggly and funny, and just an all around joy to be around. You warm our lives in so many ways. You adore your big sister, and she loves you so much too. She loves it when you wake her up in the morning, and then she wants you to snuggle in bed with her (you don't really like that though...you'd rather stand up next to her bed--toddler bed). You giggle in the car with sissy, and she holds your hand and sings to you. Someday when you're a teenager, you'll never believe me. That's why I'm taking pictures of you two loving on eachother now!! We are so excited for summer time with you, and can't wait to swim some more and play outside with you.

We love you buddy!

Love,

Mommy and Dadoo

Wooo-Hoooo!

That's about all Anniston could say every non-rainy day last week after Dadoo de-winterized our trampoline. Anniston LOVES to jump. She asks to jump every.single.day. And I love having her out there. She's so cute to watch. Treyson loves to crawl around on the trampoline too. He will sit and watch Anniston and bounce a little from her jumping. It won't be long before he'll want to be up and jumping too!

Can you tell that we get static electricity from our trampoline? haha

St Louis--Six Flags

On Saturday of our St. Louis excursion, we headed out to six flags with Mark, Tracey, and kinley, and Mark's brother Mike, sister in law Laura, and their kids Maddie and Jack. Michelle, Mark's sister, also came. We had a blast! And the kids were so good, and so adventurous! I wasn't surprised by Anniston...she's always been a thrill seeker; but even Kinley did good, and she's usually much more reserved. We were very proud of the kids (how they acted and how much they enjoyed the park).

Anniston did every ride she possibly could. There was not a roller coaster for her (she was 2 inches too short). So we'll definitely have to do that next year! Here are several pictures from the day.

Mark, Tracey, and Kinley when we first got to the park:
Anniston and Jerry in the rail car that Anniston drove: Anniston on the carousel: Anniston, Kinley, Maddie, Jack, and Laura on the carousel: A picture of the log ride that we did with Anniston:Anniston and Kinley in an airlplane ride that goes in circles, and the kids can make the plane go up and down:
Anniston, Maddie, Kinley, and Laura on the spinning cup ride (thanks Laura....I don't do well on those kinds of rides...they make me turn a not-so-lovely shade of green):
The kids rode on one of those big ships that swings back and forth. Here's pics of everybody....again, not a ride I can hardly even watch without wanting to gag:

Now here's my kind of ride....CHOO CHOO!!!!!

Now the girls are in some kind of spaceship ride that goes up really high. Anniston actually sat next to a random boy and it was funny watching them because they had quite the conversation before the ride started:
Waiting in line for the swing ride...is this not precious??
Enjoying the swings:

A ride that raises the kids up, then drops them down (I hear they did this about 10 times. . . you'll understand why I don't truly know in a minute) The ferris wheel: We all got to ride this, which was fun:
Doesn't it look like these kids are really on a big adult roller coaster?? This was a fun picture to take!!

So, I told you that I didn't get to watch Anniston ride the one ride. Well, the reason is that Mike (Mark's brother) and I decided to go do the new Superman ride....or should I say "drop". It takes you up 230 feet and then you drop in a matter of about 5 seconds. I'm a wuss on some rides. . . actually just the ones that you spin in circles--which at some parks are the majority of rides. I am a thrill seeker, and this one was awesome. We waited for about 30 minutes, and it was SOOOOO worth it. The crazy part is that once you get to the top, you have no idea when they're going to release your seat (there were 4 seats on each side of the tower). So you are anxiously waiting and trying to look at the view but you really can't enjoy it because you know you're about to drop 230 feet. So you know when you're on a roller coaster and you come up a big hill quickly and lose your stomach for a half second while you go over the hump??? Ok, imagine that for 5 whole seconds. That was the weirdest feeling...your stomach goes up and never comes back down until you reach the bottom. I HIGHLY recommend this ride to any thrill seeker out there. Enjoy the pics!

If you look really close, you can see our feet dangling 230 feet up in the air!! ha
This is us coming to a screeching halt at the end of our ride...We all got ice cream on our way out:

And thank you Aunt Tracey for being pregnant and not being able to ride all of the rides. This worked to our advantage so that we could ride rides with Anniston and Tracey kept Treyson...THANK YOU!!! We'll hold Baby B next year so that you can ride rides with Kinley!!
Here are the girls getting a lift back to the car!

St Louis--Magic House

We finally made it to St Louis to visit Mark, Tracey, and Kinley. We went last year for Mark and Tracey's wedding, but couldn't get back for Kinley's birthday party due to the extremely large baby growing inside my belly!! We left after work Thursday evening and arrived in their driveway about 11:30 P.M. The kids did so great in the car. Our portable DVD player bit the dust. I did feel sorry for Anniston. We have the kind that straps to the headrest in front of her. She is such a sweet little rule follower, and she never asks to watch TV in the car. We have said from the beginning that the TV only gets turned on when we travel (Fort Smith, the lake, St. Louis). When I told her that the TV was broken, she looked at me and said, "It's ok Mommy, don't be sad". I was very proud of her. Jerry fed Treyson about halfway to Springfield. We stopped at Springfield to change the kiddos into jammies, then loaded back up. Treyson fell asleep shortly after 8, and Anniston laid her head down around 8:30 and slept until we got to their house. She woke up for a short while, then went right back to sleep when we laid her down in Kinley's bed.

The next day everybody but Mark (somebody's got to bring home the bacon) went to the Magic House. What a cool place that is! But seriously, house? More like mansion. It is enormous. Think hands on kids museum/play place. 3 stories tall, and we didn't even get half of it done (due to the girls waking up at 5:45 that morning). We all had a blast. There was even a play place for Treyson. He and I spent a good 45 minutes and he was having a ball! It was precious. Kinley and Anniston are so cute and giggly around eachother. It was so neat watching them play together. Anniston wants to do anything Kinley is doing. Kinley goes to the Magic House often, so Anniston was definitely watching Kinley lead, which was great!

Here are the girls waiting patiently for it to open:

The girls in the water area:Who is that handsome little devil??Mommy, do you see that ball? If I could just reach a little bit further.......almost got it...

....there's that silly ball--come here!Told you I could do it Mommy! Here are the girls together getting a bubble raised around them by Jerry. This was in the "bubble room"--go figure!. . . they have to earn their keep somehow. . . One worn out bubby! If you're in St. Louis and have kids, definitely plan a trip to the magic house., . . . it's well worth it!
