11 Months...

Treyson is 11 months old. I can't believe I just typed the previous sentence! Where has this 11 months gone? Treyson is changing before our eyes, and it just flat out makes this Mommy so sad!

Treyson actually spent the evening of his 11 month birthday in the pediatrician's office. He was running a low grade fever, and had been fussing that afternoon. His babysitter even said she caught him rubbing his ear. So just to be safe, I took him in. The doctor looked in one ear, and then looked in the other and said, "Ouch, that hurts". So he's on Amoxicillin and is doing much better.

Here's what Treyson is up to:

He weighs 24 lbs, 4 oz. (that is from the pediatric clinic 2 nights ago--BIG BOY!)

He does not eat baby food any more...all solids: goldfish, lunch meat, chicken sticks, turkey sticks, ravioli, steamed veggies, grapes, oranges, peaches, bread, spaghetti, sliced cheese, rice, an entire Gerber toddler meal...basically anything we give him--he'll eat!

He does not use bottles anymore. He drinks pure milk too...no more formula. He did great with the transition...didn't even notice a difference.

His night time routine is to have a cup of milk while reading books with Sissy, brush teeth, say prayers, lights out. Then he tucks his little knees under him and has his little booty sticking up in the air, snuggles with his lovey, and goes to sleep!

Loves to snuggle his lovey or the Razorback taggie blanket.

Still crawls sometimes (especially in the grass--but just on one leg, the other is in a semi-walking position).

Gives "high five"

Says "thank you" ( "dee-doo")

Plays "Pat-a-cake"

Signs for "all done" when he's in his high chair and is done eating.

His favorite word is still DaDa (trust me, I'm trying to work on this one)

Points to things he wants

Prefers his "Papa's" over the grandmas most of the time

Loves to splash in the bath, pool, lake....and it cracks him up. Doesn't mind getting water splashed on him or poured on his head. And last weekend at the lake, was constantly putting his mouth in the water trying to blow bubbles (gross!)

Doesn't sit in a bath chair anymore. Just like a big boy on his bobo (most of the time) with Sissy. They have a ball together.

Loves balls...playing with and eating!

Likes to "sing" with Anniston in the car.

Walking, walking walking. This was taken 2 weeks ago, so you can only imagine he's even better at walking now.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday Aunt Melissa,
Happy Birthday to you!

Have a very happy birthday Melissa! We love you!....even if you're 30!!!!

Flip Video

Ok, so am I the last person to know about these? My mom had one that she wasn't using alot, so I'm borrowing it until she decides to pry it away from me. This thing is AMAZING! I love how easy it is to record and then plug directly into my computer. . . I think I'm in love! So great for blogging!

...and that means you all get to enjoy videos of the kids versus detailed descriptions of cute things they do!....until it's taken away....(just kidding mom...you can have it back whenever you need it; however, then you won't get to watch videos of your grandchildren! )

So you think you can sing?

Anniston likes to sing like Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" ever since she watched the movie. She LOVES to sing! So in the car, she will sing and some little munchkin enjoys singing with her. Jerry and i think this is hilarious. We thought you'd think so too! So as we were playing in the closet tonight (yes, the closet) we taped them.

Enjoy!

Nakey Boy Plays Peek-a-Boo!

Treyson finished his bath tonight and was playing peek-a-boo inside our closet. When Anniston was little, Jerry would clap really loud and it would cause her to come out of hiding....well, Treyson does the same thing. It's a shame he's such a grump!

Enjoy!

Water park!

We headed out to the local water park this afternoon since Kinley was in town. The girls had a blast. They had obviously just refilled the pools because the water was FREEZING! They still managed to get in immediately and never took a break! The girls stayed for 3 hours; however, Treyson pooped out after an hour and a half. I tried to rock him pool-side but he wanted nothing to do with that. So Treyson and I came home and he crashed about 5:30. I figured he'd take a short nap....it seems as though he was ready for bed for the evening. He's still sleeping (4 hours later). He's been known to pull 13-14 hour stretches; however lately he's been in a 11-12 hour kick--let's hope he at least sleeps until 6-ish! Worst case scenario, I'm up at the crack of dawn and everybody will get to enjoy a hearty breakfast tomorrow morning! haha

Jerry...

6 years ago today, I married my junior high school sweetheart. We realized recently that 15 years ago yesterday, he first asked me to be his girlfriend...15 YEARS AGO!! (technically he had his friend, Joseph ask me to be his girlfriend--hey, I forgive him...we were not quite 8th graders! ha)

I have been so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life. Everything he does, he does for me and the kids. He never settles for second best, and his number one priority is making sure the me and the kids are happy. Some of my happiest times are watching him play with the kids when he gets home from work. He loves to wake up on the weekends with the kids and play with them in their rooms for an hour or so while I sleep in.

Jerry and I recently went on an anniversary trip to Jamaica. It was THE MOST relaxing week I've had since our honeymoon. It was so amazing, beautiful, and quiet. The accomodations were fabulous, food was fantastic, and the company was even better! It was hard to leave the kids for a week, but they were having a ball splitting time between their sets of grandparents (thank you Mom, dad, Jerry, and julie!!). In fact, Anniston was asking me to leave on my vacation as we were dropping the kids off the night before our flight (apparently, she had things to do on her "vacation" that didn't involve seeing us!).

All week long, we laid out by the beach and would eat at the appropriate times even if we weren't hungry. It was so great! Here are a few pictures.

We would appear to be standing sideways in this picture because I had set the timer on my camera and then ran all the way down the beach and into the ocean just in time for the picture to get taken. We attempted this 5 times....I was worn out!

These "beach beds" were heavenly!
This is what we did for breakfast 3 of the days. We each ordered 2 breakfasts, and then start the day off with Mimosas...yummmm! And the view from our balcony was incredible!

Jerry, I love you. Thank you for the past 6 years of marriage. It's only going to get better!
