Driving Mr. Treyson
The title is pretty self explanatory. This video is from the 26 of December. MaMa and PaPa drove up to our house to see all of our new toys. We bundled up to watch the kids drive their new Gator. We figured out that Anniston and Treyson are very content driving in circles, we don't have to chase, and nothing gets crashed (yet).
The Lord's Prayer and Ramblings about our sweet little girl!
So, we have a nightly ritual of kneeling next to Anniston's bedside and saying "God Bless" (we keep this list to a minimum by doing only immediate family--us, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and great-grandparents; otherwise, we could spend 20 minutes just on Jerry's side of the family!!), night-time prayer (...."now I lay me down to sleep...."), and then hugs and kisses.
.
I told Jerry last week that as I was growing up we all gathered at our bedsides and said the Lord's Prayer, and that I really wanted to start incorporating that into our routine now that Anniston's a little bit older. So for the past week, Jerry and I will say the prayer together while Anniston listens in. The past 3 nights, Anniston has been trying to say the prayer with us, and she's getting really good at it.
.
In sweet little Anniston fashion (seriously, she is such a kind-hearted little girl), she wanted to say her own "Lord's prayer" after trying to say the real "Lord's prayer". The first night, it involved a bear, a witch (from the book "Dora saves the Snow Princess"), and Jesus of course. The second night, it still had a bear, no witch, but it did have part of "Deck the Halls" christmas carol. So for your enjoyment, I snuck in my new Flip Video (yes I got my own for Christmas!!!--thank you MaMa and PaPa!!) so that you could hear Anniston's prayer. No clue about the mouse part....maybe she read the book "If you give a mouse a cookie" today at the babysitter's house??
.
There is no picture, just sound. We have the hall light on, but I was trying to hide the Flip Video, so I wasn't able to get it positioned to see her. Had she seen it, she would have gotten really silly with her prayer (although it is a little silly anyway!)
Anniston,
Mommy and Dadoo are SOOOO in love with you. You melt our hearts daily. We love how you randomly walk up to us, squeeze us, and say "Oh, I just love you so much!" We love how you use big girl words "Actually Mommy, it's over there", or "I don't quite think so", or "Probably that's a good choice". You sound SO BIG to us!! You have such a caring heart. You try so hard to love on Treyson. Sometimes he loves it, sometimes not so much! You always try to put your arm around him, and if he's doing something that you know isn't the right choice, you physically try and move him away from whatever it is....such a little Mommy and such a rule follower! You love to tell us that you're getting really big and tall, and when Mommy and Dadoo pretend to act really sad about that, you will say, "Don't worry, I'll always be your baby girl". I just get teary eyed thinking about it. You love to help wake Treyson up in the mornings and sing him the "wake up song" (Good morning to you, good morning to you, good morning sweet Treyson, good morning to you!). When Treyson jabbers at you, you act all grown-up and say, "Oh, yeah Buddy? That's right"....so cute! You love to snuggle with us, especially if the TV is on. Mommy and Dadoo don't let you watch very much TV, so you will walk in and tell Dadoo that football is your favorite show and that you want to snuggle with him and watch your favorite show...Dadoo falls for it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.!!!
You. Are. Precious! We love you more than you will ever know. Love, Mommy and Dadoo

Christmas at Nanny and PawPaw's!
Anniston's Christmas Program
and a "maid-a-milking"
Here's Anniston's fan club! Nanny and PawPaw R
.....and MaMa and PaPa!
And did we get a picture with Mommy and Dadoo? Of course not! Somehow, I never think of that until it's over!
Anniston, we are so proud of you! You are such a sweet and thoughtful little girl. You were so proud of yourself after your program. You sang so well, and did all of your motions just like you had practiced. We love you so much!

White Christmas!
We were out this morning enjoying our rare glimpse of snow here in Arkansas! It was FREEZING because of the wind that was blowing. Treyson was getting very irritated if he walked into the snow and it went up and over his feet. Other than that, he just ran circles and squealed! Anniston and Dadoo were having snowball fights (I'm pretty sure Dadoo won), and fortunately Mommy didn't get dragged into it! At one point, Anniston was thinking she needed to cry because the wind was blowing snow into her eyes. Once I told her that snow was just water on her eyes, she gave up on the whining act and decided to play some more. After about 10 minutes we came back in and ate some soup to help us warm up.
The sun is out, so I'm sure that we won't have snow for much longer. As soon as the kiddos wake up from naptime, we'll try to sqeeze more snow time in!
Merry Christmas!
Our kiddos got a John Deere Gator for Christmas from Santa! The kids ran into the living room this morning, and Anniston ran straight to her stocking seeming to not even realize this enormous green vehicle sitting in the living room. Treyson, however, ran straight to the Gator and hopped up onto the seat! Once we got through all of the stocking stuffers and toys that Santa left, we tested out this Gator in the house (since there's lots of snow outside). Let's just say that we need to sign some little girl up for some defensive driving lessons!!
Merry Christmas! I'm way behind on blogging, and hope to catch up some while the kiddos are napping!
