Last Day at Mrs. Amber's....:(

Well, it's official! Treyson has graduated from Mrs. Amber's house, and is moving up to preschool! That's really been tough for me to swallow. . . my baby cannot fit into the "baby" category anymore now that the "preschool" word has entered into his life.
~
I'm so excited for him though. He is so excited to be a "Tiny Tigger". He talks about his new teachers, Ms. Nita and Ms. Dancie alot. The nice part about this transition is A) We attend church at the same place, and we've been walking down to this room every Sunday after Sunday school to let him get familiar with the room and B) Anniston will be there too.
~
Anniston apparently talked to her teacher ALL DAY Thursday about how excited she was for her brother to be there with her! I love how excited she is. I know Treyson will be excited about that too, but I don't think he understands yet that he will see Anniston at the morning and afternoon recesses, plus they're in the same room from the time I drop them off until they break into individual classrooms at 8 for breakfast.
~
So we decided to take a cookie cake to Mrs. Amber's on Friday to celebrate him going to "Big Boy School"!!

Here's Treyson with all of his friends at Mrs. Amber's house!

Giving Mrs. Amber some luvins!! Thank you Mrs. Amber for all of the love and attention you gave to both of our kids for the past 4 years!

Treyson, we are so proud of you! You are so silly, smart, cuddly, and sweet. We know that you will be such a great Tiny Tigger. We love you!

Home-made donuts!

Jerry is a donut lover....his favorite donuts are Irish Made Donuts in Fort Smith. Seriously, they're amazing. Next in line is a warm original Krispy Kreme. If they're not warm, they're not worth it. Third would be the bear claw or warm glazed from Old Tyme Donuts in Springdale.

Jerry tells me that he used to make donuts at his house when he was younger. They would get the inexpensive tubes of biscuits from the store, flatten them, use a medicine cup to cut out the hole, and then put them into the oil. He did this with the kiddos on New Year's morning before all of the football started. The kids LOVED it! I heard lots of racket from the kitchen as I was getting to sleep in. . . and boy were they ALL having fun!

Thanks for the donuts Dadoo! We'll have to do this more often! :)

New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve was pretty low key for us this year. Jerry shot me an email on Monday before new year's that went something like this:
Jerry: "New Year's Eve?????? What plans do we have?"
Amy: "New Year's Eve......involves a 2 and 4 year old!"
~
So we decided to just lay low at home. The kids took late naps, so they were able to stay up a little late. Nanny and PawPaw stopped by our house after they had taken Kinley back home (she always stays with them for a few days the week after Christmas). Nanny decided to wrap their arms as they drank their sparkling juice. Our Nanny is so silly!
Nanny, Anniston, and PawPaw posing with their sparkling juice and champagne!
Anniston was SO excited!!! She got to drink out of a fancy cup!

Wooo-hooo! Time to celebrate the New Year!!

Rainboots!

MaMa and PaPa got the kiddos raincoats and boots for Christmas. The kids were ELATED when it was raining one day last week and they were able to wear their coats and boots. In fact, Treyson has worn his boots several times. His is Thomas the Tank Engine, and Anniston's is ladybug.
Thank you MaMa and PaPa!! :)

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Ok, so first of all....sorry for my shirtless daughter! She had been dressed up all morning as Rapunzel, and we had her take it off to help make cupcakes. Oops!

Merry Christmas everybody! Hoping everybody is remembering why we are celebrating Christmas....for Jesus! Anniston was telling Treyson on the way to the Fayetteville square tonight that, "Treyson, did you know that baby Jesus was born in Bethlehem? And then Jesus died on the cross for us....so that we could all live!" How refreshing to me that our 4 year old has picked up on this! Treyson didn't quite get it....in fact he pointed to the Holiday Inn Express and adamantly proclaimed that, "Baby Jesus was born 'wight der' " (right there)! He's always good for some comic relief! ha

God bless each and every one of you. Merry Christmas!

Hunting for Lights....

One of Dadoo's favorite Christmas traditions with Nanny and PawPaw R was to get loaded up in the car and drive around looking at lights. The added bonus is that they started out with ice cream to eat in the car while looking at lights. We've carried this tradition on with our kids for the past 3 years, and this year was no exception!
~
Here was Anniston all cozied up in her blanket. We took the kids out this evening in their jammies! Treyson and his Pooh!

Mmmmm.....chocolate mix with M&M's from Braums!

Treyson had some of sissy's mix!

There is a neighborhood in Springdale that you MUST go see if you are in NWA. It's located off of Turner. The subdivison is called Quail Run, and the street is Henson. All but 2 houses have alot of lights, and those two are for sale (and probably vacant). The kids LOVED it!!

Anniston loved seeing the "Activity" scenes. She made Jerry stop completely at EVERY.SINGLE.ONE so that she could point out Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, angel Gabriel, wise men, sheep, etc. I just love that there is more to Christmas than just presents in her sweet 4 year old eyes and heart!

Treyson taking all of the lights in. At first he didn't even want his ice cream....just wanted to focus on lights. However, you can tell (based on this picture) that he did indeed eat his M&M mix! haha

Merry Christmas everybody!
