February 1 Snow Day Pics

The kiddos were so excited to wake up to snow falling! Doesn't look like much here, because it wasn't. However, schools were cancelled because there was 2 inches of pure ice that had accumulated. Then, 6 inches of snow was dumped on top of that!
~
I love this picture. Even though our window in the dining room is about 12 inches off the ground, Anniston wanted to boost Treyson up so he could see! Having art time in the dining room. Artists need inspiration, right?

Back yard as the snow was getting heavy.

Bundled up and ready to play!

Time to have snow ball fights with Dadoo!

Get him Treyson!

Run Anniston!

So much fun! We also went sledding on our street (we live at the bottom of a hill), but no camera because Mommy wasn't willing to miss out on the fun this time :)

Teasing Dadoo!

Anniston and Treyson's PawPaw R (Jerry's dad), has this game with the grandkids that he'll tickle them if they sit in "his chair" (recliner). Well, the kids treat Jerry's recliner at our house the same way. They'll run over to it, sit up in it, and with a humongous smile on their face say, "Dadoo, look who's in your chair!" And then Jerry will run over to them and they'll be giggling before he even gets to them!
~
Today, Anniston and Treyson hopped up into his chair and were letting me take pics of them hugging when somebody snuck up behind them to tickle them! I am in love with this picture! I am in love with the 3 people in this picture!
Our Dadoo is such a silly Dadoo! And these kids are pretty silly too!

Dr. Treyson

Last week during one of our snow days (hence Mommy in jammies), Treyson wanted to "doctor" Anniston. First, he checked her arm.... Then he looked in her mouth, and you will not BELIEVE what he concluded!....Sugar Bugs (yeah, apparently Mommy talks too much about brushing out their sugar bugs...haha!)

Then Dadoo looked like he might need some "doctoring"....
Ouch, somebody had to get a shot in their bobo!

.....and in their back!

Love, love, love the imagination that kids have!

Warming up!

Brrrr... it's cold outside here! Dadoo made us a nice fire BEFORE we went out to play in the snow. Thank you Dadoo! Warming up their bellies! Silly kids!

Now they're pretending to "ice skate" on the floors.....I think their Nanny's been brain washing them! :)

What a lovely pose huh? Such a lady and gentleman! HA

Silly Dadoo!

I think the title of this says it all. Our Dadoo is a NUT!

I Pledge Allegiance

Both of the kids love to say the pledge of allegiance. It's something that their babysitter taught them (before preschool), and then they now do it daily at preschool. I think it's precious.

~

Another one of my favorite things is to be at a basketball game or gymnastics meet and hear the "Star Spangled Banner" and my kids understand to be still, quiet, and put their hand on their hearts. So sweet!

Happy Birthday Dadoo!

We celebrated Dadoo's 30th birthday last night with Nanny and PawPaw R. First we started off by surprising nanny by taking her ice skating (Nanny will tell anybody and everybody that she was an ice skater in a previous life....in fact she even called us Saturday to tell us she was on TV--it was an ice dancing show! ha) Anyway, the kiddos had so much fun skating with Nanny. Then we headed out to Shoguns for dinner ---YUMMMMM, as always! Afterwards we came back to our house to have some of Dadoo's favorite....cookie cake! Can you tell that we call Dadoo "cookie monster"? As we were singing "happy birthday"...
And Treyson took the initiative to blow out Dadoo's candles (and he did it again this morning on Dadoo's pancakes!)

Enjoying Dadoo's birthday breakfast on their TV trays!

Here's the Birthday Boy!!

Birthday breakfast of champions...

Dadoo took the kids to school this morning. They were so excited....Dadoo doesn't get to take them very often since they go to school 5 blocks from Mommy's office!

Happy Birthday Jerry! It is so amazing to think that we've celebrated every birthday together since we were celebrating our 14th!! You still have a way of making me smile from across a room as I catch just the tiniest glimpse of you. My stomach gets butterflies around you, and I hope that feeling never goes away. I love the husband you are to me, and the father you are to our children. We are all so blessed! Hope you have a fantastic birthday!
Love, Amy, Anniston, and Treyson!
