A Little Cousin Baseball game

While in Bartlesville, we headed over to Scott and Courtney's the evening before the baby dedication to have dinner and play.  Courtney had asked us to bring a couple of toys for the kids to play with outside (since they only have toys for infants).  So, Treyson wanted to bring his bat, baseball, glove, and a football.  This turned into an entire evening of playing baseball (with a short break for dinner).

The kids kept hitting home runs over their fence!

Quick break in the action to love on these babies once they woke up from their naps!

 Uncle Scott was the pitcher
Two things I love about this picture:  1) The fact that Anniston was having so much fun getting tackled by Uncle Scott 2) Treyson apparently didn't care and realized it was a fantastic opportunity to get an "in the park" home run since Scott was busy tickling Anniston. HA!
Anniston was trying to make it harder on Uncle Scott.  Didn't work --- he still hit the ball and ran with her on his back !

Another home run - great job Bubby !

CJ getting tickled by Courtney's Uncle Rod.
Uncle Scott and Aunt Courtney,
We had a wonderful evening at your house Saturday night.  The food and fellowship was fantastic.  What a great weekend !

Staying in a hotel = Swimming in April

We headed to the big town of Bartlesville, Oklahoma this weekend to celebrate the dedication of our twin nephews, Caleb and Calvin.  There will be another post with those sweet boys coming soon !  As soon as we checked into our hotel, we let the kids swim.  They were so excited !

Somebody was THRILLED to have to wear Sissy's floaties !  He was swimming at the end of last summer without any help, but lost some of his skills through the winter.  I'm so glad we've got our swim lessons lined up for early June !

 Working on his diving.
Oops !  Don't think that "dive" felt very good on his belly !  Last year, he was diving like a big kid.  It was amazing.  We'll keep working on that ;)
Anniston's just about got her dive nailed down

Acorns !

So, apparently some little short guy in our household has a fascination with miniature acorns.  Jerry and I were finishing Treyson's laundry tonight and found a large pile of these.  Then we took the clothes to the "grandparent room" (ie: closest bed to the laundry room) to fold everything before putting them away.  We found at least 15 more while folding !  The funniest part about this all ?  There were only 3 pairs of shorts in the whole load, so his pockets were CRAMMED full of these things.  How did we not notice this ?
. . . . . . . we are still giggling over this !

Pre-K Circus!

Anniston's preschool puts on a circus each spring.  She was assigned "Ringmaster".  It was a very big role in that she had 11 lines she had to memorize !  We began practicing in January, and she knew all of her lines by mid-February (she must get that from her Dadoo).

Here we are waiting on the show to start.  Had to get there early to get the front row !  PaPa and Treyson are paying games on Dadoo's iPhone here.
Anniston's star in the lower left corner:
 The stage is set !
 Sweet little Ringmaster !

Introducing the opening of the circus !
 Introducing the "tumblers"
Here's her bestie, Nila, who was a tightrope walker !  So cute !

She and Brady, the other Ringmaster, are closing the show

And here is the entire cast of the circus !

Here is Brady's (the other Ringmaster) understudy.  Treyson knew all of Brady's lines.  He memorized them to help Anniston work on her part !  How sweet is that !  The introduction is "Welcome to _____Pre-kindergarten Circus.  My name is Brady, and my name is Anniston, and we will be your Ringmasters for this evening".  So Treyson would say the intro with Anniston, then introduce himself as Brady, then continue on with the ending.  Seriously, what a great baby brother !
 Anniston and Nila
Nanny and PawPaw R came up to see their little Ringmaster !

So did MaMa and PaPa.  They were so excited to see their little Ringmaster !

 Family pic :)
Anniston with Brady.  Yes, Anniston is tall ; however, Brady is on the more petite side :)
Anniston, we are so proud of you!  You were so great about memorizing your lines.  All of your hard work paid off !  I know that you and Dadoo are excited to talk about other things besides working on the circus on your way to preschool in the mornings :)  Way to go, Ringmaster!  You rocked the circus !  We love you !

Silver Dollar City

We headed to Silver Dollar City a couple of weeks ago with Uncle Todd,Aunt Melissa, MT, and CJ.  The boys had never been, so we were so excited to see what they thought.
I can't decide if CJ likes this one.  Hmmmmmm
LOVING the little kid roller coaster.  Everybody except for CJ did Thunderation several times before we left the park !

Little bit moist after the water log ride ! HA!

Dadoo and Anniston on the big Barn Swing ! (notice it's mostly older people who are crazy enough to do this---not our Anniston !)

 Loving the Hoppy Frogs !
We love heading up to Silver Dollar City and making such fun memories with our kids.  We are so thankful for Nanny and PawPaw R giving us season passes each Christmas so that we can do this !
