Moving up, Throwing up, and Ice Cream

Moving Up:

This morning, Anniston became a "Bouncy Bunny". That's the name of the 3 year old preschool class at our church/her school. Last year she was a "Tiny Tigger". She was so excited this morning. We woke up, put on her new school outfit, and fixed her hair extra special. We even left early enough to get a pink donut!

Dadoo met us in the parking lot as we were eating our donuts, and then we all went into school (and yes, we'll do this with her every year as long as she'll allow it!). The first thing we did was let her point out her new locker to us. This is where she keeps extra changes of clothes (just in case!) and all of her napping items (blanket, pillow, stuffed animal). Then we posed for pictures--of course! Afterwards we went to her new classroom and let her explore everything. She checked out the dress-up clothes first, then went to the kitchen, then to the hand puppets. After she looked around, we went back to the room that the kids gather in until breakfast time. We both got our hugs and kisses, and she waved goodbye to us as the teachers came up to her oo-ing and ahh-ing over her cute outfit and hair (and Anniston LOVES all of that attention--her head might not make it through the door if they tell her too soon!)

And by the way, Anniston's favorite "center" last year was "dramatic play". I have a feeling it may be the same this year. When I came to pick her up after work, I couldn't find her--seriously. I looked and looked. The teacher started laughing and said, "yours is the monkey in the corner". I looked in the corner of the room, and Anniston was dressed in a monkey costume that was the fuzzy head piece, big belly with long sleeve fuzzy arms, and pants down to the fuzzy monkey paws. There was even a banana in the side of her costume. Anyway, she sat there quietly watching me try to find her, and once I made eye contact with her, she ran up to me laughing hysterically. It was pretty cute!

Throwing Up:

What more can I say? Treyson had a rough day. He had a spell of diarrhea early on, then was fine. Later in the afternoon he had more runny boo-boos and then threw up (for the first time ever--boo!). So needless to say, he's staying home tomorrow with his Dadoo....good luck working from home Jerry! haha

He was in great spirits all evening. He did have another runny diaper, but didn't throw up or act upset in any way. We're hoping this is a very short-lived bug.

Ice Cream:

Anniston wanted to go on a date with her Dadoo. They have done this before, so when she asked I thought it was a great idea. I asked her if she wanted a donut date or an ice cream date (she and Jerry have weaknesses for both). She said Ice cream date. So they went to Dairy Queen after dinner tonight. Anniston had vanilla ice cream with chocolate and strawberries on top! What a lucky girl!!

22 more days!

Oh, yeah....our Dadoo will be SOOOO excited to get home today! Our Razorback 2009 Season tickets arrived in the mail. And it's so cool this year, they made a booklet of the tickets! And we got our same tickets (hopefully next to Mark, Tracey, Kinley, and Will--for the 5th year in a row!)!!

We're excited...how 'bout you?

We're going to have to work on Anniston's fight song...she kind of slacked in the off-season and forgot a few words. She actually sang better than this last season (after just turning 2). Around here, we focus on the "Razorback fight Song" versus "twinkle, twinkle little star" and such!! haha Time to start training Treyson!

Actually, the way Anniston learned is that we have the book, "Hello Big Red". She LOVED that book (until she fell head over heels for "Pinkalicious" and "Fancy Nancy"). Well, in the part where the Razorback marching band played the fight song, we always stopped and clapped our hands to sing it. She caught on so well doing it that way. . . I think it's time we start reading that book to T-Man!!

11 Months...

Treyson is 11 months old. I can't believe I just typed the previous sentence! Where has this 11 months gone? Treyson is changing before our eyes, and it just flat out makes this Mommy so sad!

Treyson actually spent the evening of his 11 month birthday in the pediatrician's office. He was running a low grade fever, and had been fussing that afternoon. His babysitter even said she caught him rubbing his ear. So just to be safe, I took him in. The doctor looked in one ear, and then looked in the other and said, "Ouch, that hurts". So he's on Amoxicillin and is doing much better.

Here's what Treyson is up to:

He weighs 24 lbs, 4 oz. (that is from the pediatric clinic 2 nights ago--BIG BOY!)

He does not eat baby food any more...all solids: goldfish, lunch meat, chicken sticks, turkey sticks, ravioli, steamed veggies, grapes, oranges, peaches, bread, spaghetti, sliced cheese, rice, an entire Gerber toddler meal...basically anything we give him--he'll eat!

He does not use bottles anymore. He drinks pure milk too...no more formula. He did great with the transition...didn't even notice a difference.

His night time routine is to have a cup of milk while reading books with Sissy, brush teeth, say prayers, lights out. Then he tucks his little knees under him and has his little booty sticking up in the air, snuggles with his lovey, and goes to sleep!

Loves to snuggle his lovey or the Razorback taggie blanket.

Still crawls sometimes (especially in the grass--but just on one leg, the other is in a semi-walking position).

Gives "high five"

Says "thank you" ( "dee-doo")

Plays "Pat-a-cake"

Signs for "all done" when he's in his high chair and is done eating.

His favorite word is still DaDa (trust me, I'm trying to work on this one)

Points to things he wants

Prefers his "Papa's" over the grandmas most of the time

Loves to splash in the bath, pool, lake....and it cracks him up. Doesn't mind getting water splashed on him or poured on his head. And last weekend at the lake, was constantly putting his mouth in the water trying to blow bubbles (gross!)

Doesn't sit in a bath chair anymore. Just like a big boy on his bobo (most of the time) with Sissy. They have a ball together.

Loves balls...playing with and eating!

Likes to "sing" with Anniston in the car.

Walking, walking walking. This was taken 2 weeks ago, so you can only imagine he's even better at walking now.
