February 9 Snow Day

We went to bed last night knowing that it was supposed to start snowing at midnight. However, we went to bed and didn't think much beyond that. We woke up at 6 AM so that I could cancel work for my office, and decided to go ahead and get a measurement.....

The kids' playground in the back yard! You can see the tip of the picnic table!

The light outside our back porch stairs (the stairs are long gone!)

Back fence over half covered!

19 inches before noon!

The things Mommy will do for a cute photo op! HA!

Our mailbox is half covered!

Poor little fire hydrant!

Dadoo's car is cracking me up!

We ventured out with the kids.

So much fun!

Treyson struggled due to him being slightly taller than the snow!

Dadoo had to dig tunnels for us to walk through! (actually the tunnels were dug out to try and retrieve Mommy's flip video that fell out of her pocket while she was challenged to run through the snow! And of course, Mommy's flip video is ALL WHITE! HA!---Thank you Dadoo....you're the best!)

Anniston decided to be silly and go down her slide!

This is so much fun! (as her teeth chatter, and her nose and cheeks get bright red!)

We now have over 21 inches. It has officially stopped snowing. We'll take one more measurement for the books and report back!

Think Spring!

So, 2 weeks ago we had a beautiful spring day smack in the middle of winter! It was 70 degrees outside and GORGEOUS! We charged up the Gator, grilled out, and tried to soak up every morsel of sun!

Treyson even thought he should go ahead and cut the grass since it was so nice!

Anniston took a spin on her new scooter she got for Christmas from KiKi, Will, Uncle Mark, and Aunt Tracey!

If they ever figure these scooters out, it could be TROUBLE!

Please come back spring! We miss you!!

Ice Skating with Nanny!

For Dadoo's birthday we took Nanny ice skating?? Actually we did! Nanny and PawPaw R were coming up here to celebrate Dadoo's birthday, so we decided to ice skate before dinner. Our Nanny LOVES to ice skate (or at least imagine herself ice skating), so we knew she would love this! The kids were so excited to surprise her! Treyson and PawPaw R hanging out watching everybody skate. Treyson is the type that skates a lap, rests a lap, skates a lap, etc.

Woo hoo! Way to go Nanny!

February 1 Snow Day Pics

The kiddos were so excited to wake up to snow falling! Doesn't look like much here, because it wasn't. However, schools were cancelled because there was 2 inches of pure ice that had accumulated. Then, 6 inches of snow was dumped on top of that!
~
I love this picture. Even though our window in the dining room is about 12 inches off the ground, Anniston wanted to boost Treyson up so he could see! Having art time in the dining room. Artists need inspiration, right?

Back yard as the snow was getting heavy.

Bundled up and ready to play!

Time to have snow ball fights with Dadoo!

Get him Treyson!

Run Anniston!

So much fun! We also went sledding on our street (we live at the bottom of a hill), but no camera because Mommy wasn't willing to miss out on the fun this time :)

Teasing Dadoo!

Anniston and Treyson's PawPaw R (Jerry's dad), has this game with the grandkids that he'll tickle them if they sit in "his chair" (recliner). Well, the kids treat Jerry's recliner at our house the same way. They'll run over to it, sit up in it, and with a humongous smile on their face say, "Dadoo, look who's in your chair!" And then Jerry will run over to them and they'll be giggling before he even gets to them!
~
Today, Anniston and Treyson hopped up into his chair and were letting me take pics of them hugging when somebody snuck up behind them to tickle them! I am in love with this picture! I am in love with the 3 people in this picture!
Our Dadoo is such a silly Dadoo! And these kids are pretty silly too!
