Beach trip sneak peek

We went to Fort Walton Beach last week. I was a little concerned since having a newborn, but the trip went surprisingly well! Here's a few pics from my phone.

Loaded up and waiting on Dadoo to walk out of his office!
Nap#1. I laid her swaddle out underneath her, so she's buckled in underneath it. It worked great! Plus the "sleep pillow" app on Jerry's mini iPad playing next to her to drown out Bubby and Sissy's giggles.

I hung out in the backseat most of the time. The plus? I got to watch movies with the kids! The negatives? Jerry had to drive pretty much the whole way there.
We drove to Pensacola and arrived at 11:30. The kids were exhausted!
The bonus of making it to Pensacola is we only had 1 hour in the car on Saturday! We slept in, took our time and drove on in with ZERO traffic!
Pool time!
Hanging out at the beach
Headed to the pool
My beach bums!
Worn. Out!

We babysat Lillian (our friends daughter) so they could have a date night. The kids loved their video monitor !
Last day!
Sweet Anniston!
I took over 800 pics on the camera. More good pics to come!

More embroidering

Here's a few more things I've done. I made one of these for Anniston too. Love the bow ;)
I'm dying over these! There are heat pressed rhinestones on these!! Anniston has some sparkly red shorts that I'll pair with this...not sure about Breckens yet, but want something sparkly!
A gift for a friends new baby
Added his name to a sweet title outfit
I'm starting to branch out and do things for others. Let me know if you want something monogrammed or embroidered! Next up is making 2 shirts for a silent auction coming up!

Chubby Sissy

Seriously, who doesn't love a chubby ankle???? Ok, as long as it's on a kid...not so cute if Mommy had chubby ankles!
Love my baby girl! I have so enjoyed my maternity leave. Brecken is almost 4 months old, and I have truly cherished my time at home with her.

Sister time

Anniston loves to hold Brecken, and Brecken absolutely lights up when Anniston talks to her. It warms my heart. Anniston always tells me that she is so excited for Brecken to get old enough to have sleepovers...these girls are going to be lifelong friends and I can't wait to watch them interact together!

Husky howdy

Anniston had her teacher meet and greet last night at her elementary school. She was so excited all day long. She had been running a low-grade fever all day, so we decided to just zip in, leave supplies, and zip out (no snacks or games). I was horrified when we got home because Jerry asked Anniston to take her temp and it was up to 103!! So strange...no symptoms, just fever.

Here's Anniston with her first grade teacher!
Here she was finding her name on the roster sheets posted out front!
We are so excited to see the progress she'll make and the memories she'll create. Her core group of friends from kindergarten are all split up, so I'm also excited for her to make new friends!

Some MaMa and PaPa time

The kids went down the hill to stay with MaMa and PaPa last night. They had a couple of items on their summer bucket list that could only be accomplished there.

First Mom sent me this pic last night asking if I bathe my child....ha! That's my 4 year old :)
So, the items on the bucket list were to swim at Hardscrabble and to play golf at Hardscrabble (it's a country club).
Sno cone break!
Time for a little golf.

Nice form T-Man!

It sounds like the girls golfed a couple of holes, then went back to swim. I'm sure T played the entire course. They are being driven home to me now--can't wait!!

Embroidery fun!

I've really started to get into the embroidery thing.  I really enjoy creating super sweet and personalized items. I'm learning more and more each time I use it, but here's the things I did last week.

For a friend who just had a baby girl:

For a sweet little girl who will be in kindergarten very soon! I also made one of these for sweet Nila, Anniston's BFF.
Then I made this for A after she saw the one I made for her friend
So excited to meet Tage's baby brother, who remains nameless as of now! (No head starts on his baby gift--ha!!)
For Anniston's friend on her birthday.
...and this is next! Thinking if doing this on a black shirt with red and white thread, and the starbursts will have heat pressed bling on the ends--fun!!
I've also made some baby onesies for my cousins baby, Harlan. I'm hoping Meredith will send me pics of him in it as he gets big enough to wear them since I forgot to take "before" pics.

Here's my kids in their matching crab swimsuits. T's has a bow tie, and the girls' has a bow--so fun!

Now you can see her crab. They also have lime green gingham swimsuits--girls' have flip flops, T's has a surfboard.
