Anniston's ramblings

.....Jerry and I seriously should throw away our TV and any other forms of entertainment....

Anniston (in the back of the car): "Meany, Miney, Mo" (as in eeny, meany, miney, mo...catch a tiger by the toe...). "Mommy, now, when I say 'meany, miney, mo', I'm not saying that you are mean even though I'm saying 'meany'.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anniston: "Mommy when I grow up I'm going to be a cat lady"
Mommy: "What does that mean?"
Anniston: "You know, I'll be a lady that can sell cats. And I know that you don't like boy cats, so you just need to get one with a bow in her hair. I will put bows only in girl cats, not boy cats"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anniston: "Oh, no Bubby, you just spilled on your shirt. It's alright Buddy, Mommy is good at washing our clothes"

(This was said in the back of the car this morning as we were snacking from Gymnastics to the Library)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We don't let Anniston watch Hannah Montana. Not that there's anything super-wrong with her, but Jerry and I just don't feel that her show/music is appropriate for a 4 year old. So there's a Mexican business on HWY 71 that has these random towels hanging outside (I assume they sell them).

Anniston: "Mommy, I'm very sorry that those people have a Hannah Montana blanket (even though it's a towel....I don't bother) hanging up."
Mommy: "It's ok Anniston. Hannah Montana is OK for older kids"
Anniston: "So, are you saying that I can watch Hannah Montana when I grow up?"
Mommy: "Well, we'll just have to see....possibly though."
Anniston: "Ok, Mommy, how about when I'm 60. Will I be a teenager then?"
Mommy: "No Anniston, you'll be a grandmother then."
Anniston: "Will that be old enough to watch Hannah Montana?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Apparently Skechers has these "twinkle toe" shoes that are ALL THE RAGE with kids. Anniston has several friends that have these. (Think Converse shoes that are colorful, blinged out, and twinkle as you walk) Anniston has been wanting some, but to me they are still so gaudy. So I'm trying to hold out. I was shoe shopping on Zappos for her winter boots, and ran across "twinkle toe" boots that aren't near as gaudy...in fact they're pretty cute, so I ordered them. So the box comes to the front door while we're at work/school. We opened the box, and Treyson's shoes were on top. She was so excited for his new shoes, and then I started to lift the paper off to open up her box.

Anniston: "Twinkle toes, twinkle toes, twinkle toes!!!!" (imagine a giddy 4 year old jumping in circles, clapping, and saying this!!)
Jerry: "Anniston, how on earth did you know these were twinkle toes?" (after all she can't read!)
Anniston: "I am smart Dadoo. I got smart at school."

later that evening as I was tucking her into bed....

Anniston: "Mommy, I am so proud of you for getting me my twinkle toe boots" (and then she squeezed my neck real tight and grabbed my cheeks--like an old great aunt--and kissed my lips! haha)

(I hope to have new pics to post soon....we're having family pictures made TODAY!)
