You know you live in Chickendale, when.....

Stopped at a stoplight, a chicken truck is next to us. Treyson is frantically waving and about to pop out of his 5 point harness as he yells, "Hi little chickens!" over and over and over! Meanwhile, Anniston says ponderingly, "Mommy, how are those chickens going to die so that we can eat them?" I've learned....don't make something up, and see what they think. So I respond, "I don't know, what do you think?" Anniston says, "Well, I bet they have a really big grill and they put them all on the grill, right Mommy?" I say, "Maybe". She says, "Or maybe they bake them in the oven."

It's fitting that their Dadoo's employer is a MAJOR chicken company worldwide! HA!

Loving this Warm Weather!!

The weather this week has been GORGEOUS! Tuesday after school/work, we raced home, packed a picnic dinner, and went back to the park. The kids had so much fun!

Anniston slid down the pole for the first time on Tuesday....she has done is 27 times since!! HA!

After we ate dinner, we went over to feed the ducks!

We forgot to bring extra bread, so the ducks enjoyed some animal crackers!

This is making us so excited for Spring...YAY!

Skating!

Kinley was in town a few weeks ago with her Mommy, so Nanny and PawPaw came up to stay with us while she was here. Kinley wanted to ice skate with all of us since she had seen our pictures from before! Here we are on our way!

PawPaw R with all of his sweeties!
Nanny and T-Man!

Mommy's little ice princess!

I didn't get any pics of Kinley skating....just videos, and I don't think she'd like me posting them. Ice skating was a rough start for Kinley, but she ended up trying a second time and did MUCH better!

Valentine's Party at school

WE LOVE SCHOOL PARTIES! The kids had their Valentine's party on Valentine's Day! Mommy was so grateful that she doesn't have to work Mondays so that we could all go!
~
Classroom parties are Yum, Yum, Yum!! Treyson was SUPER PUMPED about Cheetos being on the menu!

Valentine's Day Present!

Mommy and Dadoo got the kiddos a Valentine's Day toy. We let them open them after they had eaten their heart-shaped Krispy Kreme donuts!

Treyson is SO EXCITED!

She's realizing what's inside...

YAY! We can bake cookies!!

Treyson's getting a first peek at his present!

Play-doh kit that has a puppy dog to make fun shapes/sizes!

"Can you open this now Mommy"???

Happy Valentines Day to Mommy and Dadoo's sweethearts! We love you both so much! You two are the best Valentine's that Mommy and Dadoo could ever want!

Treyson's first movie....

We took the kids to see "Gnomeo and Juliet" on opening weekend. The movie was SO cute! It was also Treyson's first time to go to the movie theatre. Doesn't he look so cute? Despite his cuteness, he will not be going to another movie for awhile! He wasn't BAD, but he didn't do very well. He is not a TV watcher, so I'm not sure why we thought he'd sit for an hour and a half watching a movie! We thought it would be so overwhelming that it would capture his attention....WRONG!
We'll try again once he can sit down and watch a 30 minute Disney cartoon!! HA!

Mommy's Birthday!

Mommy celebrated her birthday on Thursday, and it was a super day for me! The kids and Jerry woke me up at 6:15 with pancakes and a burning candle singing, "Happy Birthday". It was the first time I had ever heard Treyson sing all the words (and keep up with everybody else). That was amazing for me! Then we all hung out in our bedroom and ate breakfast!
~
Dadoo got the kiddos ready while I got ready for work. At lunch Dadoo picked me up for a surprise lunch date! That evening we went to On the Border for a yummy dinner, and came home to a Rick's cake! YUM!
~
I got so many hugs, kisses, and "happy birthdays" from Jerry and the kids, and that's all I could ever want. Jerry and the kids did get me a towel warmer for my birthday.....I guess Jerry figured that since I love it when he warms my blanket up next to the fireplace, that I'd love a warm towel after a shower.....boy was he right! I've got one other super fantastic present that is scheduled for March 24th! I'm so excited about it, and I'll share more about that later......and no, it's not a tummy tuck! HA! We'll save that for my 40th?? (yeah, right!) The kids made me birthday pictures on Thursday. Anniston was so proud of her picture. She was especially proud that she had smoke coming out of the chimney, and that Mr. Sunshine was happy for me because it was my birthday! She told me this morning that my head looked bigger now that I was older. The sweet part is that she was smiling so big and saying it so sweetly, knowing that I would take it as the biggest compliment!.....so I did!! :)
Treyson worked on some art for me at school yesterday too. Here is a cement mixer (I think) stamp that he did.

I'm still trying to decide what this is....but I love how he carries it outside with him to the car, crinkles it, and then hands it to me with a smile on his face while saying, "Happy Birthday". ALL BOY!!!

The last picture has absolutely nothing to do with my birthday, but it's just a funny comparison of our two kiddos. Each day we get a report telling us how they ate, slept, felt, etc. Then they circle the different centers that they participated in. When Anniston was in the 2 1/2 year old class, "Dramatic Play" (ie: dress up) was circled every day....some days, that was it. Other days, there might be one other center circled. So I can't help but laugh every day when I get Treyson's report. He participates in EVERY SINGLE CENTER, EVERY SINGLE DAY. I absolutely love that about him, and it still cracks me up 5 weeks later!
